Haha this is very relatable ;) The closer to the deadline the more interesting events and opportunities scream to your face "If only you had time!". Especially when you are behind the schedule.

Nobody asked, but I'm gonna share my thoughts anyways ;)

For me it shows that isolation doesn't need to equal loneliness if you have your imagination, which is quite refreshing considering the more popular interpretation of it being a dreadful experience. The only thing that bothered me was the obligatory streak of light to comply with the theme of the competition - but then I remembered one quote from Gertrude Stein: "I like a view, but I like to sit with my back turned to it". This made me think - he sits turned back to this light which might symbolise the outside world, so maybe he just chooses to isolate himself from it and dive into his imagination/creation/whatever?
As I think about it longer, it kinda grows on me ;) Isolation as an act of choice, not a state or fate is quite a bold concept.
And by the way, if you use your own time of isolation to improve at the rate documented by your short Instagram presence, than you make good use of your time :)

Wow I appreciate your story and interpretation. I really did think hard on the subtle details and hints of isolation on this piece and what it really meant to me. I am glad that I could share it with an individual who could resonate with it. Once again, thank you for your kind words.

Yes for an idea that being too exposed can also feel isolating; I played with that concept too before directing somewhere else ;)
